01 · Founding philosophy

The name is the philosophy. One person should increasingly be capable of what once required five. Five people should increasingly operate with capabilities once associated with fifty.

This is not a metric, not a target and not a promise to reduce staff. It is what technology leverage means when it is done properly: remove repetitive effort, put information where decisions are made, coordinate what people used to chase, and let judgement go where it is needed.

We build for established businesses whose work is real, repeated and often held together by people doing what software should. Our job is to give that capability back.

How we think about technology decisions

    We start with the workflow as it really runs. The tool is chosen last: sometimes a model, often a rule, an integration or a change in process. Occasionally nothing. We say which.

  2. 2. Authority stays human.

    Every system we build has a written line between what it does and what a person decides: routine actions within agreed thresholds run automatically; consequential, exceptional or out-of-policy decisions wait for a named person.

    One workflow, shown to work, earns the next. We do not sell transformations.

  4. 4. Practical AI, not AI theatre.

    We are interested in what changes on a Tuesday morning: which step disappears, which decision arrives faster, which person gets their week back.

  5. 5. Augmentation, not replacement.

    The goal is people with more capability. Systems take on the repetition, the coordination and the waiting. Judgement stays human.

  6. 6. Intelligence without complexity.

    Every additional moving part must earn its place. Simple systems that people understand outlast clever ones that they do not.
